Dear ABC Student Group Leaders,
As the semester winds down, I wanted to reach out to provide further support to ensure a smooth transition process towards the spring semester.
I encourage your group to look into emerging funding sources available to help your student group successfully meet its financial needs for this term and begin planning for the spring semester. In addition, make sure your group pre-calendars for next semester, as this process concludes next Monday.
I am also following up about an important financial policy announced in the training: ABC and A&P are accepting correction requests for expenses that were incorrectly posted to the trial balance for the previous academic year and the current year only. Therefore, please check your financial reports periodically!

Campus Collaborative Fund
I encourage you to apply to CCF Fund, which grants of up to $1,500 to support activities and projects initiated and led by students, which encourage connection across diverse groups and reflect Columbia's educational mission of free expression and open inquiry. Priority is given to submissions that involve collaboration, bring together different perspectives, and create a space for making friends and getting to know new people.
Columbia Alumni Association Co-Sponsorship Fund
Your group can also consider looking into this fund, which aims to foster cross-school events and initiatives within the Columbia Community. The project(s) must be organized by at least 2 recognized student organizations from 2 or more Columbia schools and serve an audience drawn from more than one Columbia School. The sponsored event(s) should occur within one year of the application and bring students & alumni together around a shared point of interest relating to the mission of the student organizations.
Travel Costs
ABC will only consider granting travel co-sponsorships after your group has applied to the CC and SEAS Dean's Travel Funds.
Lerner A/V Costs
ABC will refrain from granting co-sponsorships for these types of costs if your group has not applied to the President and Provost's Fund.

Pre-Calendaring Follow-Up from USL
Pre-calendaring will conclude on Monday, November 25 at 5:00 p.m. Pre-calendaring requests must be submitted through Virtual EMS. Please check the UEM website for additional information about the pre-calendar process.
In order to best support your pre-calendaring requests, please also complete the Pre-Calendaring Additional Information Form by Monday, December 2 at 5:00 p.m. for all events. Please note:

Weekly meetings do not require the Additional Information Form.

You MUST submit your pre-calendaring requests on Virtual EMS! This form is additionally submitted to provide your adviser with more details on your events so we can best support your group in the decision making process.
