ABC 2024-2025 Candidates

ABC Representative Elections 2024-2025
ABC has announced its 2024-2025 election timeline. Please file your candidacy by filling out the following document and emailing it to [email protected]. We have prescribed the following deadlines for this semester:
Candidacy Filing: Feb. 13th at 11:59 p.m. EDT
Voting Opens: Feb. 25st by EOD
Voting Closes: Feb. 28th by 8:00 p.m. EDT
Following the elections, ABC will facilitate a series of three transition meetings, on March 6th, March 20th, and March 27th, 2024. A new e-board and representative board will be sworn in on March 27th, 2024.
ABC Spending Guidelines Revisions
ABC made the following revisions to the spending guidelines:
1.] specifying tech costs as Columbia A/V charges, capping it at 50% allocation.
2.] Decorations will also be capped at 50% allocation, pending extenuating circumstances and price. Specifically, decorations under $100 can be funded 100% by allocation, while decorations under $200 can be funded up to 75% by allocation. The amount of allocation is calculated as a cumulative function for other costs, e.g. ABC allocation could fund $175 of a $200 decoration cost, and $200 of a $250 decoration cost.
3.] Production items for Theater Performances is capped at 75% allocation
4.] Outside composers are capped at 50% allocation
5.] A new guidelines allowing music groups to apply for one-time cosponsorships for recording albums at most once every four fall/spring semesters, specifically to cover 50% of the in-studio time cost for membership participation
6.] Non-publication groups can spend a max of $100 of ABC allocation on publication-related costs and endeavors.
ABC Derecognition Update
ABC derecognized the following three groups for lack of contact and failure to complete Club ReFuel: CU Samovar, Glee Club, and the Society of International Undergraduates
